We are the champions!

Well done to Natalie, Adrian, John, Leigh, Duncan and Margaret (shown pictured) who were crowned winners of the 2025 CasaLingua Christmas Pub quiz!

On Saturday evening, ‘Team Due’ struggled to come up with an original team name but more than made up for it when it came to getting the answers right! You never quite know what to expect from my quizzes, but they coped admirably with the pictograms, film quotes and memory test (based on the Aldi Christmas advert!) and after a slow start, ramped up the pressure on last year’s winners - the ‘Candy Cane Craigs’ to force a tie break! With both team on 77/100 I had to come up with a final question and Team Due were victorious, realising that ‘Merry Christmas’ was written in Finnish. The defeated team declared that ‘they will be back next year’ - fighting talk!
