We recognise that lots of learners find listening a real challenge; the speed, the pronunciation and the range of unfamiliar vocabulary can all leave you feeling lost and frustrated. It sounds obvious, but to get better at listening, you really do need to do it more often!
This resource portal is aimed at learners already working at post-beginners level who are wishing to do more outside of the classroom.

For Italian, our service is a one off purchase which gives you unlimited access to a bank of over 50 resources.
For Spanish, you can choose a monthly or annual subscription. Once you have signed up, you will receive a log in to the members only resource subscription site. Here, you will be able to access our audio files, with accompanying activities designed to improve your vocabulary, grammar and overall understanding of the topic.
We guarantee to upload a new resource every Monday by midday. You can download the worksheets and print or save them so that you have a record of your learning and can review and revisit activities in the future. Please note that the audio file can only be accessed via the resource site.

The Italian package is a one-time purchase of £120.
The Spanish subscription service is a rolling monthly cost of £15 or an annual commitment of £150 (10 months for the price of 12).
On top of the weekly activities, you will also receive an initial study guide (to help you get better at listening) and a language specific help sheet.
We hope you love it but you can, of course, cancel your subscription if ever you lose your motivation or find it isn’t quite right for you!

Yes absolutely! Although many subscribers will already be attending a CasaLingua. class, this service can be subscribed to by any language learner. The tasks are varied and do not align with particular topics. This means that any post-beginner will be able to access the resources and improve their grammar, vocabulary and comprehension skills

CasaLingua Extra currently caters for Spanish and Italian learners. We hope to introduce other languages in future.

The resources are designed to appeal to a variety of learners and the overall aim to broaden vocabulary and grammatical understanding through listening. You can expect a wide range of topics, from narratives where the speaker tells you about a favourite holiday destination to factual accounts on how people spend too much money at Christmas!

On subscribing, you are asked to create an account (you sign up with an email and password) and once you have done this, you are prompted to submit payment details for the monthly or annual subscription of your choice. You will receive a welcome email after sign up with instructions on how to access the members only ‘CasaLingua Extra’ area. It’s easy - simply head to the our website and click on the ‘account’ tab, entering your username and password!

We recommend that you access the trial resource before signing up so that you know what to expect from our resources as well as the level of challenge that they provide. However, we understand that circumstances can change. If you need to end your subscription, you can cancel through your members panel.
